We held a video shoot in Paxton Studios last week and it was a great experience from start to finish.
Owner Nick was there to show us around, patiently waiting since we were all late to arrive. Being ground floor and with direct street access made it really easy to unload and access. The studio can be totally blacked out which was great for us, parking was easy, free and just a few yards away. I was really impressed with the space, it was bigger than the photos of the studio looked, we had plenty of space for our filming area and all the lights and camera with enough space to have a mini office set up too. Having the back room for a dressing and make up room worked really well and the bathroom off of that meant more privacy which wired well for us. Sound is always a consideration when it comes to film shoot when we are recording narrative, while we had some stop and starts it was nothing more than we would expect from any studio space and didn't stop us getting everything done that we needed and with time to spare.
Nick was really helpful, checking in with us, he was extremely accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to use this studio again and recommend it to photography and filming shoots.

Simple, straight forward pricing
Full Day – 9 hour session – £110 weekdays | £150 weekends
Half Day – 4 hour session – £60 weekdays | £70 weekends
Hourly rate of £18ph Monday to Friday
£25 Saturday and Sunday and after 7pm
No additional charge for modifiers, light shapers and accessories
400 watt Godox QS–400 – £5 per session
300 watt Lencarta Smartflash 300 – £3 per session
